Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) the states owned telecom organization launches its latest 4^th generation wireless broadband technology named as WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave access) initiating with Ajmer in Rajasthan.  While BSNL launches it in more than 200 base stations in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

The WiMAX, Wireless Broadband Technology offers a speed of 7Mbps at the distance of 15kms.
